Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots Swatches

I saw these Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots polishes at my local Walmart and had my eye on them for while, until I finally just picked up a few to try out! These remind me so much of a lot of Indie polishes I really love, so I was surprised a mainstream line came out with them! First up is Drops of Jade, my favorite one! It's a beautiful green color with white and black hexes (as found in the entire collection.)  For all of the swatches, I used three coats to get a sandwich effect.

Next is Blue Marks the Spot, a periwinkle with the same hexes. I was really looking forward to this one and I was very disappointed. It didn't offer the same opacity as Drops of Jade, even after three coats. This may be better as a topper!

That last one I picked up was Pretty In Polka, a bright fuschia. This was more like Drops of Jade in that it became pretty opaque after three coats.

These beauties are $2.99 at Walmart, so it's easy enough to run in and grab a few of your own! I didn't end up Clearly Spotted, a clear version with the same hexes, and Dotty, an orange crelly with the hexes, but they are also available!

  1. Those look great Heather! I was on the fence, but now I might have to try some.

  2. These are so fun! Great swatches! :)

  3. Gaaaaaah, if only these were cruelty free, I'd snap them up in a heartbeat!
